Christ Church has an active and vibrant group of parishioners who are involved in a number of different ministries. We are proud to offer several groups to which our parishioners can contribute their time and talents. These are just a few of the groups that help to continually make Christ Church a wonderful place to worship:

ECW

The Episcopal Church Women is an organization for all woman who are members of Christ Church. The purpose of the ECW is to be an integral part of the total life of the parish. This group aims to provide opportunities for religious education, experience and growth. They also perform parish and community service projects and outreach. One of the reasons that the ECW has been so successful at Christ Church is that the group focuses signficantly on promoting fellowship among its members.

Music

Psalm 150 states: "Praise the Lord with timbrel and dance, praise him with strings and pipe...Praise him with loud-clanging cymbals, Let everything that has breath praise the Lord, Hallelujah!"

Music is a central aspect of worship at Christ Church, and we are grateful to have a talented group of adults and children participating in this important area. Musical groups at Christ Church are divided into three areas: Senior Choir, Youth Choir, and Bell Choir. Our Senior Choir regularly provides the music for our church services, while all three groups perform at our many special events.

Music remains the cornerstone of many of our special events, which often utilize talent from within and outside of the church. Among those events was Yulefest 2007, a spectacular evening of theater, song and dance celebrating 18th century American history and the significant role our church played in this time period.

The youth of Christ Church are very active in our music program. Members of our growing youth choir participate annually in the Central Connecticut Chorister's Guild Anthem service, and the youths from the Bell Choir provide blissful music to a number of our services throughout the year.
