Altar Guild
Every
home needs someone to keep it in good working order.
Welcome to the workings of your Altar Guild. Throughout the church year,
the
men and women of your Altar Guild are responsible for the care and
preparation
of the altars, linens. Priest's and servers' vestments, silver, candles
and
flowers. Consider joining us. It requires just two hours once a month.
Many of
our members hold full time jobs. We are able to work around a variety of
schedules. Call Coleen Blanchard at 380-8012 if you are interested in
this ministry.
Acolyte Team
We have a very active Acolyte program that includes both young and old. We encourage boys, girls, men, and women to participate as active members of the worship team serving the congregation. Acolytes can serve at Sunday services, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and more. This program builds character, discipline, and provides a unique experience for those who want to participate in a very hand-on way in worship and in service to the community.
For more information contact the Rector and/or Deacon after Sunday services or through the church office.
People Serving the Lord
The current calender for those people who are serving the Lord April to
May including:
Our Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Visitors takes church and community out to those who can
not make it to church. We make visits to those who are homebound, in
nursing homes, assisted living, and hospitals.
The Lay Eucharistic Ministry
is looking for a few people who would be able to visit homebound parishioners
once ot twice a month. You can make your own schedule or make visits with
another lay Eucharistic Minister. Please talk to Father Bob, Deacon Lee or
Charlotte Matthews.
St. Luke's Healing Ministry
During Sunday 10:00am services we invite any and all to participate in our St. Luke's Healing Ministry. During communion our team of lay ministers will perform in faith laying on of hands for any and all who bring their concerns and prayers to the Chapel, just aside the main altar. All are welcome to this ministry to give and to receive.
"Ask, and it will be given to you..." -Matthew 7
Altar Flowers
The
flowers on the altar have always been
supplied by members of the parish, either in memory of a loved one or as
a
thanksgiving. But now many weeks do not have a donor. The cost is
$35.00. You
may take them home after the service or if you choose, one of our parish
visitors will take them to a homebound parishioner. There is a Flower
Chart on
the bulletin board in the hall, so you can see what weeks are open. If you would like to give flowers on any
given Sunday, please call Sue in the office at 375-4447. We ask that
they be
paid for the week before the flowers are on the altar. Thank you!
